The slab was milled from a mostly dead tree in june 2020 and has been stored indoors in controlled 40% humidity since then. It should be dry enough to start work, my moisture meter reads 11%. The surface isn't perfectly flat.
There is a slight dip towards one end, see photo with level. Some uneven surface and a bit of cupping here and there but overall pretty flat. Could be made flat and level and maintain most of the thickness. Let me know if you'd like to have the slab planed flat for an extra charge. It is approx 8-22 inches wide.It is approx 49 inches at the longest point. It is approx 3 inches thick. Bark is intact, slightly loose in some areas.
The slab will be well packaged to preserve the bark. One missing piece at the tip. It was misted with water in most of the pictures to help show the beautiful colors and figure. I did allow a mild rustic mill blade marked surface and some surface irregularities.
There are some drying cracks. These are beautiful rustic pieces with occasional chips, cracks, frayed edges, etc. Please carefully consider if pieces this rustic will meet your needs. Let me know if you need more photos. There is no planing or kiln drying. It has been lightly sanded on both sides to better show the grain and color. I always give multiple pictures and a detailed description, so you know exactly what your going to get. This item is made of silver maple.
