33 28 4 burl cedar tree slice. Diy table top. Cake stand. Live edge cedar tree slice, diy coffee table, river table wood, epoxy table woo
Its at 15.9percent moisture in the heart wood (the red). And in the sap wood (white) its at 25 percent moisture around just the edges where the bark was on it holding some moisture. It is mill sawn and sanded down to 80 grit sandpaper on both sides, we debarked some of it. This slice has not been milled with a router. Only mill sawn and sanded. It will need wood juice applied and milled with a router. This slab came from a tree cut down a year and a half ago, we dug down into the ground around the tree to get the burl wood.
This is the bottom of the tree that grows underground. It actually has roots growing out of it if you look close enough. There is one large root growing out of the side of it. High 3.7/8 inches to 4.1/8 inches thick. This is a raw material untreated.
If you need help with explaining how to finish this burl stump into a table, we will be glad to explain how. We thank you for your business.
This item is made of cedar.
